Grand Slam Of Darts Day 6 Betting Tips

19:15 – Stowe Buntz vs Andrew Gilding:  Buntz To Win @ 2/1

We’re backing Stowe Buntz to continue his fairytale run in the Grand Slam of Darts with a victory against Andrew Gilding.

The American made it through to the Second Round by topping Group E, labelled by many as the “Group of Death” with the likes of Peter Wright and Stephen Bunting in it.

However, Buntz beat both of them before losing his final group match against Dave Chisnall.

Buntz has surprised many with his darting talent on the big stage and we feel he has a strong chance against Gilding.

“Gold Finger” showed some promise when qualifying out of Group F and it was only Danny Noppert he lost to with wins over Brendan Dolan and Haruki Muramatsu. Buntz should be a much sterner test though, with the confidence and momentum on his side.

We believe 2/1 for a win for the American is solid value and worth adding to an accumulator.

20:15 – Danny Noppert vs Stephen Bunting: Bunting To Win @ 7/10

Stephen Bunting is in top form and we are backing him to make his first Grand Slam quarter-final since 2014.

The Bullet came through a tough group (same as Buntz) beating Chisnall and Wright averaging 95+ in the process and we think he can get the better of Noppert.

Noppert was in much shallower waters than Bunting in the first phase of the tournament and will likely find this a bigger challenge.

Despite being unbeaten thus far in the Grand Slam, Noppert could become vulnerable to the Bullet’s strong scoring and precise finishing, so we are siding with the bookies favourite in this one.

21:15 – Michael van Gerwen vs Damon Heta: Van Gerwen To Win, Highest Checkout & Most 180s @ 14/5

Michael van Gerwen heads into his game currently unbeaten after topping Group G with six points. He got past Rob Cross, Fallon Sherrock and Marten Kleermaker with ease and is certainly the one to beat.

He faces Damon Heta, who only just scraped through to the knockouts, beating teenage sensation Beau Greaves in a last-leg shootout to secure his spot.

The Australian has not been at his best so far in the Grand Slam and if he affords MVG the chances he did Greaves, he could be in a serious spot of bother.

Van Gerwen should benefit from the longer format and his experience on the big stage can pay off against somebody who doesn’t usually get to the business end of these tournaments. That’s why we’re backing him to be “The King Of The Oche” and win with the highest checkout and most 180s.

22:15 – Nathan Aspinall vs Rob Cross: Aspinall To Win @ 6/5

Nathan Aspinall topped Group H in what proved to be tough competition in the end, and he faces Rob Cross with not much separating the two players.

We should be in for a closely contested affair but we are backing Aspinall to prevail. The Asp made the final of the Grand Slam last year but lost out to Michael Smith and he’ll be hoping to have another deep run in the competition.

Cross did only lose to MVG in the group stage in what was still a good performance in a 5-4 defeat, but Aspinall’s grit and battling spirit can see him through to the next round in this one.

It would also not be surprising to see this match go the distance, so backing over 16.5 legs could also be a decent shout, but we’re just sticking with an Aspinall win at an attractive price.
