PDC World Darts Championship 2024: Draw, full schedule, how to watch and latest odds

The sport's biggest event sees 96 players compete for the Sid Waddell Trophy and £2.5million in prize money in front of a raucous Ally Pally crowd.

Last year's final saw Michael Smith finally claim the sport's biggest prize after years of near-misses, beating great Michael van Gerwen in one of the most thrilling matches in history.

Van Gerwyn is back and looking to claim a fourth crown, though Luke Humphries is the favourite after winning three majors in 2023 including beating the Dutch master in the Players Championship Finals.

When does the World Darts Championship start?

The tournament gets underway on December 15 at Ally Pally and runs until January 3, 2024.

The first, second, third and fourth rounds are completed before the end of 2023, with the quarter-finals and semi-finals held on January 1 and 2. The final takes place on the evening of January 3.

Reigning champion Smith begins the defence of his title on day one.

Luke Humphries is the bookies favourite
