Guiao lauds Baldwin: 'He has done an excellent job bringing Gilas together'

Gilas Pilipinas won all three of their games in the third window to complete a six-game sweep of the ACQ. Gilas' future looks good with Kai Sotto, Ange Kouame and Justine Baltazar. Gils' two wins over South Korea were their first over Asian rivals in nearly 50 years.

Baldwin has done an excellent job bringing Gilas together. Gila's team won the Asian Games in Indonesia. Guiao hopes to form the best team possible for the 2023 World Cup co-hosted by the Philippines with Japan and Indonesia, which will be held in Japan.

Guiao believes Gilas can be better with the addition of more professionals to the team. Gils has always had PBA players involved in the ACQ program. Seven pros played for Gil's team that beat Indonesia in Jakarta in January 2020. Guiao's Pba-backed team played in last World Cup in China. It remains to be seen if PBC players will be allowed to play for the national team in future.
