Hales warns it will take something special to beat Politologue in King George

Politologue is 5-1 to win the 32Red King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day. He is one of 11 horses left in the race. Altior is the only horse below 50-2 to come out. Politologue won the Tingle Creek last season. His best performance came at two and a half miles at Aintree in April. John Hales won two King Gives in same year with One Man. The last one was at Sandown in 1996. It was delayed. In the second one, he won at the same venue. Hale expects Politologo to be as effective upped in trip.

Politologue has won over 2.5 miles twice in his career. He has taken off since going back up in trip with wins over Min and Charbel at Ascot. The ground at Kempton is not expected to be bottomless.
