Halifax Panthers 24 York City Knights 26: James Ford's side produce heroic effort to set up shot at redemption

York City Knights reach the semi-finals of the Championship play-offs. James Glover kicked a late penalty to settle the tie at The Shay. Lachlan Walmsley scored a hat-trick for Halifax. York play Leigh Sports Village next week. They finished the regular campaign with a 1,098 points difference. They lost Danny Kirmond to a yellow card after three minutes. He was sent off. Halifax won the game 24-24. The Knights will play the League Leaders' Shield winners. It was the first time York have reached the last four of a Championship. Their season ended at the home of League leaders' shield winners, Leigh.
