Harrison plays hunches, wins horseplayers championship
David Harrison won the National HorseplayersChampionship at Bally’s Las Vegas. Harrison's horse Let Me Finish was a 22-1 winner in the opener at Laurel Park. He was playing in his third NHC. The 6-5 favorite Maglev won Baffle Stakes. Don't Swear Dave finished second to assure Harrison of the championship. He finished $342 to the good, $17.20 ahead of Ryan Patrick Scully, 34, of Aurora, Ill., a first-time N HC player, and $3.80 back in third.
