Heat vs. Blazers prediction and odds for NBA Summer League (Bet the UNDER)

The Miami Heat and Portland Trail Blazers are playing a consolation game in the NBA’s Summer League on Sunday.

The Heat have decided to sit key players such as Nikola Jovic (their 2022 first-round pick), Jaime Jacquez Jr. (their 2023 first-round pick) and Orlando Robinson (who scored 36 points in a game earlier this summer).

Portland won’t have No. 3 overall pick Scoot Henderson in this game, and the team may sit last season’s lottery pick – Shadedon Sharpe – who played just 13 minutes in the team’s win over Orlando.

The Heat are coming off a blowout loss to Denver, but a win would move them to 3-2 in Las Vegas. Here are the odds for this game and my favorite bet:

I love the UNDER in this game, as the Blazers have failed to clear 90 points in two of their Las Vegas Summer League games and now may not have Sharpe, who has been their best player.

The Heat mailed in their last game against the Nuggets, and they paid the price – losing by 21 points.

Miami hasn’t scored 100 points in a game in Las Vegas, and it has two low-scoring games (81 points against Denver, 70 points against Phoenix) that could make the UNDER a valuable bet.

With the lack of stars on the floor and both teams likely wanting to get a look at some fringe players, I’ll take a shot on this game staying below the 90s.

Pick: UNDER 181.5 (-110)
