The Portland Trail Blazers scoreboard in the summer has been high scoring so far. The Portland Trail Blazers are scoring more than 93 points per game in the Summer League. That’s near the top of the rankings in the league through their first three games.

Portland, in their first game, saw Shaedon Sharpe score 21 points and rip down seven rebounds, while Jabari Walker added 10 points and ten rebounds. Portland also saw their rookie Scoot Henderson score 15 points but was injured after playing 21 minutes in the game. He then went to the NBA Injury Report.

In their second game, Henderson did not play. In this game, Michael Devore filled in for a bunch of those minutes and made 10 of 17 shots for 29 points. Dupo Reath had a nice game as well, with 13 points. Jabari Walker was once again one of the top rebounders for Portland, with 11.

Finally, in Game 3 – Portland scored 97 on Charlotte, and Shaedon Sharpe was once again the man. This game saw forward Kris Murray have his best summer game with 19 points and seven rebounds. Duop Reath continued his strong play with 12 points and nine rebounds in the game.

The Orlando Magic results in the summer have not gone well so far. The Orlando Magic got their Summer League action started by scoring just 78 points in a loss to Detroit. The Magic were impressed with guard Kevon Harris, who played 26 minutes and scored 21 points.

Second on the team was guard Anthony Black. The rookie scored 17 points in 27+ minutes of play.

The second game for Orlando went even worse, as the Indiana Pacers smacked them 108-85. The Magic could not slow down a Pacers offense that saw five guys score double digits, including 21 from Andrew Nemhard. For the Magic, Caleb Houston was the top scorer with 18 points, while Elijah Hughes added 14.

Also – in Summer League NBA stats – Tyger Campbell, the rookie out of UCLA, played his first Summer action and scored 3 points in 13 minutes. In the loss on Wednesday, Campbell scored eight this time but was -11 on the court.

This seems like a tough ask for Orlando to come back the next day with young guys. NBA betting trends do not really have any Summer League information on going back to back.

The NBA odds for this listed Portland -4. That does not seem like enough. And let the offense flow. Sure, Orlando has struggled to score, but the defense will be the problem here.

Our two picks:

Pick 1: Portland Trail Blazers -4

Pick 2: Over 178.5
