Highfield Princess was named the Yorkshire Horse of the Year at the Go Racing In Yorkshire Awards on Thursday. Brian Hughes and Dan Skelton were crowned leading jockey and trainer respectively for riding and saddling the most winners at Catterick, Doncaster and Wetherby in 2021-22. Danny Tudhope and Tim Easterby took the equivalent prize on the Flat. Mark Johnston was one of three trainers who received a Milestone Award for achieving a record-breaking 5,000th winner in August.

Barney Curley charity cup and golf classic at Bellewstown raised €73,287 for the late Curly's charity Direct Aid For Africa. Last year's event raised more than €100,000 for same charity. Curley died in 2021. Frankie Dettori is proud to support Dafa in memory of his friend Barney Curleys.
