Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Vladimir Guerrero Jr.  (+320)

Let’s take a moment to acknowledge the Rays impressive 13-0 run to start the season. Granted they’ve played relatively poor teams, it’s still a feat nonetheless. Tonight they play in Toronto which will arguably be their hardest game of the season thus far.

Something has to give at some point for this team and the Jays are hungry going 7-2 in their last nine games. Let’s take Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to hit a home run tonight with the Rays sending Drew Rasmussen to the mound.

He’s been spectacular to start the year going 2-0 allowing no runs in 13 innings pitched thus far. However Guerrero hits .294 against Rasmussen in his career with a home run and is eager to get another one over the fence as he hasn’t hit one in the last 26 at-bats.

Last season he hit a home run every 20 at-bats so he’s due to hit another one soon. Last April he hit six home runs and another one tonight would keep him on pace to hit that many this April.

Guerrero Jr. is listed at +320 to hit a home run with Matt Chapman (+370) and George Springer (+300) also good options to hit one as well.

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Teoscar Hernandez (+320)

The Rockies send Austin Gomber to the mound tonight in Seattle to take on the Mariners and he’s vulnerable to give up some big hits tonight.

He’s 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA and three home runs given up this season so far. Teoscar Hernandez’s bat has been heating up as of late now riding a 4-game hitting streak including a home run in the team’s last game.

Last season he had a home run every 11 at-bats against lefties and every 24 at-bats against righties. This year, Hernandez has two of his three home runs against lefties in nine total at-bats compared to one home run in 42 at-bats against righties!

With Gomber being a lefty Hernandez has a great shot at hitting his fourth home run of the season tonight.

Get Hernandez to hit a home run at +320 with other Mariners hitters to consider are Eugenio Suarez (+280) who has hit a home run off Gomber in his career and Julio Rodriguez (+300).
