Hornets celebrate historical promotion to National 2 West
Hornets have been promoted to National Two West for the 2022/23 season. They finished third in the South West Premier last season behind Exeter University and Old Redcliffians. Matt Parker, who has been with the Hornets since 2004, hails their rise. The RFU restructure allows less travel in England and reduces travel costs. There are 14 teams in North, 14 in East and 14 for National 2 West. The division is geographically grouped. Hornets will play Barnstaple, Bournville, Clifton, Dings Crusaders, Hinkley, Leicester Lions, Loughborough Students, Newport (Salop), Redruth and Stourbridge next season and are excited to play at level four for first time in their history.
