Horse racing: Imperatriz to miss feature
Imperatriz has been scratched from the $300,000 Arrowfield Stud Plate at Hastings on Saturday. She will now head to Australia where she is likely to race next in Sydney on October 8. Defibrillate will be ridden by champion jockey Opie Bosson. There is a heavy rain forecast for the second day of the spring carnival. The weather is not a concern for trainer John Bary. Graham Richardson could line up Defibillates and Tiptronic in the Arrowfields. The futures market has had a bad spring for New Zealand's feature races.
