Corniche's Kentucky Derby status is still uncertain. Corniche will race in the $100,000 Grade III Sweet Life Stakes, 3-year-old fillies, 6 1/2 furlongs downhill turf course on Saturday.
Corniche is training at WinStar and trainer Bob Baffert is unsure if he can make the Kentucky Derby on May 7. The pari-mutuel field of “All Other 3-year-olds’ is the 5-2 favorite heading into the third of five Kentucky derby Future Wager pools. The $250,000 Grade III Sam F. Davis Stakes drew a field with one horse eligible for the Derby qualifying points.
