Haydock has a big race at 2.25 pm. It's Betfair Exchange Stayers’ Handicap Hurdle. The winner of the race is last month's Cesarewitch winner Run For Oscar. Wholestone is a course-and-distance winner at Grade 2 level.

Constantitution Hill won the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham in March. He is the ante-post favourite for the Champion HURDLE.

Bristol De Mai is favourite for Betfair Chase in Haydock at 3.00 pm. A PLUS TARD won the race last season and added the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March. Protektorat was some 17 lengths behind him at Cheltonham.

Ascot 3.15pm – Jim Barry Wines Hurst Park Handicap Chase. So Scottish gets lumps of weight for Emmet Mullins. Third Time Lucki, Thyme White, Frero Banbou and Before Midnight are capable. Edwardstone is the class act. Alan King’s Arkle winner missed Cheltenham last weekend because of the fast ground.

Lord Du Mesnil is a three-time Haydock winner on soft or heavy going. Fonaite Collonges is low-mileage and won two from four last season after going chasing.
