Horse Racing Tips Monday 13th February 2023 best bets and most tipped horses

It's a quiet day's racing on Monday with three fixtures taking place and the action kicks off over the Jumps at Plumpton at 13:30 with a six-race card, while there's alternative National Hunt racing at Catterick this afternoon. There's a solitary all-weather card at Wolverhampton this evening that starts at 17:00 and goes right through until 20:30 and we preview all the action here and pick out some of the most popular and most eye-catching naps from our army of tipsters...

Richard Hughes will unleash an eye-catching hurdler in Plumpton's 15:30 contest on Monday as he teams up with Brendan Powell Jr as the pair saddle Prince Imperial, who is a 2/1 market leader at the time of writing and is the most popular nap of the day. Rated in the high 90s on the level, he's struggled to get his head in front in two hurdle starts to date, but the son of Frankel is fancied to finally grab his first win over timber today with the likes of Newsboy from the Daily Mirror and Paul Kealy from The Weekender napping the fancied contender.

Whistler of the Sunday Telegraph has been in tremendous tipping form over the last few days having notched up three winning selections on the bounce and that tipster heads to the 15:00 contest for the best bet of the day. Whistler has napped the Sarah Humphrey-trained Gloire D'Athon, who is currently available at 5/2 and the gelding himself is looking to rack up a four-timer. Wins at Huntingdon, Worcester and Sandown has seen him rocket up the handicap and he will need to contend with another 3lbs rise today as he looks to score off 125, but he's a horse in red-hot form and has to be considered a huge contender.

Robin Goodfellow is the form tipster in the naps table, however, having amassed four winning naps in a row and he will aim for success number five this evening when he heads to Wolverhampton's 19:00 race. Opting to side with the Simon & Ed Crisford-trained Court Of Session, Goodfellow is hoping the 11/2 shot can build on a Southwell third placed finish last time out, but off the same mark of 89 he will need to show some improvement.

Derek Shaw's Amazing Amaya is the second most popular nap of the day behind Prince Imperial as three tipsters - including the likes of Matt Polley from the Ipswich Star and Picksfromthepaddock - have napped the 6/1 chance for the 17:00 at Wolverhampton. The eight-year-old mare has struggled to get her head in front of late, but is a course and distance winner, so will be hoping to recapture the winning thread and end a long losing run.

Andrew Bladen from the Wolverhampton Express & Star continues to lead the way at the top oft he naps table with a profit of £24.24 and he heads to Catterick's National Hunt card this afternoon for his best bet of the day. Bladen has napped the 9/1 chance Didtheyleaveuoutto in the 15:15 race, and the former Cheltenham Festival runner has struggled of late, but has dropped in the handicap to a potentially eye-catching mark of 129 and while he will have the burden of top weight he could land a notable blow.

Other interesting naps on Monday include American Gerry, who is the second placed tipster Postdata from the Racing Post, and that 11/4 chance runs in the 14:45 at Catterick, while The Brigadier, who is third in the naps table has put up the 8/11 favourite Mountain Song in the 18:30 at Wolverhampton.
