TEMPLEGATE tackles Saturday's action confident of building the bank for a big few weeks ahead.

ROWAYEH (5.20 Newbury, nap)

She has been impressive so far and followed a Beverley success with a smooth win on handicap debut at Sandown latest. She can easily cope with a 5lb rise in the weights and has more to come.

HIGHLAND AVENUE (1.50 Newbury, nb)

He has been in fine form this season and stepped forward when a close-up fourth in the Listed Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot last time. He likes this trip and can land an overdue win.

RELIEF RALLY (3.35 Newbury, treble)

She looks hard to beat after her heartbreaking second in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot last time. She was in front a yard before and a yard after the line but not where it matters. That is by far the best form on show here, over this trip, and high numbers have a good recent record in the race.

NEWBURY

HIGHLAND AVENUE has been knocking on the door in good races, including when beaten just two lengths in the Wolferton at Royal Ascot.

He likes this trip and the Charlie Appleby horses are in much better form than they were then.

Al Aasy is the obvious threat although he has something to prove after his tailed-off comeback at Newmarket.

He is likely to be much fitter for the run but his best has come over a longer trip.

Epic Poet has a Listed win on his CV and is worth a market check on this return from eight months off. He is best at this distance.

NOVEL LEGEND is a rock-solid stayer who ran another cracker when beaten less than four lengths in the Ascot Stakes.

He wasn’t suited by that race turning into a sprint and is better judged on his second in the Chester Plate.

He stays well and has a good pilot in William Buick on board.

Nathanael Greene has blinkers on for the first time after a good fourth in the Northumberland Plate.

He saw out the 2m trip strongly at Newcastle and has more to offer in marathon handicaps like this.

Sweet William is thrown into the relative deep end for this handicap debut but looked a nice type when scoring over 1m4f at Doncaster last time.

The longer distance should bring improvement from his fair opening mark.

At a price, Apparate ran well on his return from almost two years off at Donny last time and has place claims.

ROHAAN ran a cracker in a hot handicap at Ascot last time when the drop to 5f wasn’t ideal.

He was flying at the finish and this extra furlong should be ideal. He goes on any ground and canny David Evans will have him ready to fire.

Commanche Falls was impressive when winning a Curragh Listed contest three weekends ago and looks a big danger.

He likes this trip and Michael Dods is having a decent season.

It’s possible that Lezoo hasn’t trained on having looked top-class as a juvenile but this represents a big drop in class for Frankie Dettori’s mount who is a Group 1 winner over this trip yet gets weight from all her rivals.

It wouldn’t be a shock to see her bounce back.

Annaf is probably just better over 5f but has run well in two hot contests and can’t be ignored.

Garrus is coming back in trip after a good effort in France and can give William Buick a good spin.

La Guarida got loose in the paddock before her poor run in the Chesham Stakes where Kevin Stott was never hard on her.

She had earlier won nicely at Goodwood and this shorter trip could be her best. She looks a big price to make the frame.

Juniper Berries was a good fourth in the Queen Mary and looks open to plenty of improvement for Eve Johnson Houghton who gets the best out of her horses.

Bobsleigh was sixth in the Coventry after missing the kick. He can go close with a better start.

Son Of Corballis impressed at Tipperary and has more to come.

MARKET RASEN

WAVERING DOWN warmed up for this with a good comeback second at Uttoxeter.

He usually goes from the front but was held up and came with a late rattle to be beaten a neck. He stays well and can go close again.

Cabrakan needs to brush up his jumping but trainer Milton Harris is in good form and he has had a little nudge down the weights.

Stablemate Appreciate is interesting after running on the Flat latest. He looks on a fair weight and should have more to come.

Fenna’s Loss had a bit up his sleeve when winning at Hexham last month. A 3lb rise is more than fair and he won’t lack for stamina over this trip.

Cousu Main chased him home in Northumberland last time and has chances of making the frame again.

Veteran Pink Eyed Pedro has won better races than this in his time and followed a Southwell success with a Stratford second. He can’t be ruled out.

DANCILA looked a nice type when winning easily at Newton Abbot last time.

That was just his fourth spin over hurdles and he jumped well after travelling strongly.

You would expect plenty of improvement from the Fergal O’Brien runner.

Too Friendly was just collared on the line at Cartmel latest after being in front for a long time. He likes this trip and should be on the premises again.

Everyonesgame has won three of his past four including by five lengths a couple of times.

This trip is ideal and Lily Pinchin’s 3lb claim will come in handy on the top weight.

Belvedere Blast made it a hat-trick of wins with a bit up his sleeve at Hexham last month.

The champion jockey takes over today and a 5lb rise for that latest success looks fair enough.

Myristica has won three of his four hurdles outings.

Rider Jack Tudor didn’t have to get serious in landing a three-length victory and there should be more to come in this stronger company.

AND THE NEW has been a convincing winner on both runs around this track, including over this distance last time out.

He is 12 now but is going as well as ever and looks a good each-way price.

Francky Du Berlais has every chance of landing this race for the third year running.

He has not shown much since winning this but that means he’s only 1lb higher than 12 months ago and we know this trip and track are ideal.

Gloire D’Athon is rarely out of the first two and had a bit up his sleeve at Uttoxeter in May.

La Domaniale got the job done nicely at Aintree when seeing out 2m4f well. He’s a good jumper who goes on any ground.

Courtland keeps winning minor contests, including one here 13 days ago. This trip is ideal.

Born Famous had 17 lengths in hand when making it four wins in a row at Perth.

This is tougher but she’s in fantastic form for Scotland’s Iain Jardine.
