How to watch Cheltenham Festival races live, Racing TV cost and why ITV isn't showing all races

The Cheltenham Festival 2022 is about to begin and while fans are allowed to attend this year, many punters will be tuning in via the TV or live stream to see where their favoured runners finish.

The Cheltenham Festival runs from Tuesday, March 15 to Friday, March 18, with around 250,000 people expected to attend the races in person over four days.

There are seven races each day, starting at 1.30pm and the last one begins at 5.30pm.

What TV channel is the Cheltenham Festival on?

TV coverage of the Cheltenham Festival is being split over two TV channels. ITV1 will have live coverage of each day's first five races from 12.40pm daily, plus a preview show at 9am on ITV4.

But if you want to watch every single race - including the last two every day - the only place you can do that is through Racing TV, with coverage beginning at 10am each day. Those wishing to live stream can do so via the ITV Hub or Racing TV website or app.

How much is Racing TV and where can I watch it?

A Racing TV day pass costs £10 and has no contract, while it needs to be bought on the day it will be used. It will automatically expire at 11.59pm on the day of purchase.
