How to Watch the MLB Playoffs today: October 10

One team can clinch a spot in the American League Championship Series, as the MLB Playoffs continue on Tuesday.

Houston Astros vs. Minnesota Twins (Series tied, 1-1)

  • Where: Target Field (Minneapolis, Minn.)
  • Time: 4:07 p.m. ET
  • Channel: FOX
  • Stream:FuboTV (Free Trial), Sling, DirecTV Stream
  • Probable Starters:
    • HOU: Cristian Javier (10-5, 4.56 ERA)
    • MIN: Sonny Gray (1-0, 0.00 ERA)

After a rough start in the series opener on Saturday, the Twins had a big game from a former Astro on Sunday. Carlos Correa registered three hits, driving in three, powering Minnesota to a 6-2 win to even the series.

Kyle Farmer had a big home run in the second inning to give the Twins an early cushion, while Pablo Lopez had a great start, striking out seven in seven shutout innings, earning his second win of the postseason.

The Astros were unable to get a whole lot of offense going, but even when they did, they could not generate enough to make a comeback. Outside of Yordan Alvarez’s second dinger of the series, Houston went 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Texas Rangers (Rangers lead, 2-0)

The underdog Rangers are just one win away from their first trip to the ALCS since they made it all the way to the World Series in 2011.

After squeaking out a 3-2 win in Game 1, Texas exploded out of the gate on Sunday. The Orioles scored twice in the first inning, but the Rangers took over with five runs in the second, with Mitch Garver’s grand slam in the following frame giving the Rangers some breathing room. While Baltimore tried to make a late push, Texas hung on for an 11-8 win.

Garver, Marcus Semien, Adolis Garcia and Josh Jung each had two hits, with Leody Taveras scoring three times in the win.

The O’s are trying to avoid being swept, something that happened in their last playoff series nine years ago, where they lost in four in the ALCS against the Kansas City Royals.
