Houston Astros at Texas Rangers free ALCS Game 4 live stream (10/19/23): How to watch, time, channel, betting odds

The Houston Astros had their backs against the wall in last night’s Game 3 of the American League Championship Series and pulled out a timely 8-5 win to close to within 2-1 of the Texas Rangers in their best-of-7 ALCS series. The two teams are right back at it tonight with a first pitch slated for 8:03 p.m. ET tonight at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

Game 4 of the Astros-Rangers ALCS series will be carried live on FS1. The game can also be accessed via live streams available through FuboTV (free trial) and DirecTV Stream (5-day free trial).

When Game 4 of the American League Championship series begins, the Astros will be looking to continue a trend of road teams emerging as winners in the series. The Rangers took Games 1 and 2 in Houston before the Astros’ Game 3 win served as a first step for Houston to negate a potentially huge advantage in the series. Righthander Jose Urquidy, who is 1-0 with a 3.18 ERA this postseason, will get the ball for Houston against Rangers lefty Andrew Heaney, who threw 3.2 solid innings but did not factor in the decision in Texas’ 3-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles in Game 1 of the American League Divisional Series.

The Astros said they had “no other option” but to win Game 3 and cut into the Rangers’ series lead, according to ESPN, and they did it with early offense and pitching. Houston built a 3-0 lead with small ball in the second inning, built on it with a solo homer by Jose Altuve and an RBI single by Maurico Dubon to lead 5-0 and chase Rangers starter Max Scherzer after four innings. Texas closed to within 7-4 late on a pair of Josh Jung homers, but the Astros bullpen finished the job as closer Ryan Pressly slammed the door with a scoreless ninth.

The Rangers are Game 4 favorites to beat the Astros with -120 odds in the money line, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Houston goes off with +102 odds to win straight up and is listed as giving 1.5 runs in the spread (+164) while the Rangers are getting 1.5 runs at -200 odds . The over/under has been set at 9.5 runs.

Game 4 of the American League Championship series is set for an 8:03 p.m. ET first pitch on FS1. The game can also be accessed via live streams through FuboTV (free trial) and DirecTV Stream (5-day free trial).
