Hughes Never Approached Bergeron To Play For Canadiens
Patrice Bergeron signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract to return to the Boston Bruins for another season. Patrice's agent, Kent Hughes, didn't try to lure Patricio to Montreal. Patriecio credits Montreal-based Quartexx Management agent Phil Lecavalier for helping him to reach the deal. He was the 2022 Selke Trophy winner and made the All Star game. The agent is the brother of Vincent L Cecavaliers. It was a difficult negotiation for Phil. His agent knew what Patrice wanted. Paul Therrien is now the new Montreal Canadiens GM.
