Hulbert raises the bar with Hail Manhattan

Hail Manhattan will take on the likes of Private Eye, Kukeracha and Yonkers on Saturday. Will Hulbert trains in partnership with his father Peter. He is confident his gelding has the conditions to suit. He hopes Privateeye gets stuck behind a couple.

Hail Manhattan is an $18 chance in early betting. Private Eye is atop the market at $5.50. Kukeracha and Yonkers are both $7.5 chances. Hail Manhattan won last year's Tattersall's Members Cup at the Sunshine Coast. The horse is going to be ridden by Ryan Wiggins. Hulbert and his team will go to the Hollindale Stakes in a fortnight.
