Paulo Lobo is the winner of the inaugural Bettors’ Best Friends Award. The trainer's win rate, the HRN Impact and the return on investment are the most important factors in determining the best friend award. The jockey's award was decided on the basis of their performance. It was a 10 percent difference between the trainers and jockeys. They had three names with a flat-bet profit among the top 75 by mounts and two among top 62. Scott Becker topped the win percentage list with 32.8 percent strike rate from his 320 starters. Bob Baffert was next at 28.9 percent.
