Inspiring the new generation of women ruggers

Fiji women's rugby team won bronze medal in Tokyo. It was only their third medal. They played the tournament with limited resources and preparations. The team has a huge following and large fan base. Nike’s multi-million dollar sponsorship was timely. Rugby is getting bigger and better in Fiji. There is a need to nurture the talent through coaching and mentoring. For the country, equitable allocation of resources should form the bedrock between the men's and women”s team. for the future success of rugby.   The governing body in the country must take note of the recent developments and design a blueprint.
