Sauturaga wins top award at World Cup
Filipe Sauturaga was named the Greatest Player of the World Cup Sevens Final Award winner. Fiji Rugby Board chairman Commodore Humphrey Tawake congratulated the team for creating another milestone achievement in the history of Rugby in Fiji. It had been 17 years since Fiji last won the Melrose Cup. Australia and Fiji were crowned Rugby World Cups Seven's 2022 winners in men's and women's events. France took bronze in women’s event. Argentina took fifth thanks to a win over France, while Fijiana did the same in their women.
