Irish Champions Weekend: Weld high on Homeless Songs

Homeless Songs is coming back from a long lay-off and is ready to race at Leopardstown on Saturday. The three-year-old daughter of Frankel won the Irish 1,000 Guineas. Weld won a Matron Stakes 20 years ago with Dress To Thrill and followed it up in 2011 with Emulous. He also has a lot of other horses to choose from. Tahiyra broke her maiden in Galway and will race in the two-years-olds Group One Moyglare Stake on Sunday at the Curragh.  

Homeless Songs will stay in training next season. Weld won the Epsom Derby with Harzand in 2016. The Irish Champions Weekend takes place at Leopardstown on Saturday and at the Curragh on Sunday.
