Irish comedian shares motivational message sent to Irish rugby team ahead of New Zealand clash

An Irish comedian shared a motivational video from a number of 'celebs' sent to the Ireland Rugby Team as they take on New Zealand this evening in the Rugby World Cup quarter-final.

Andy Farrell's side face a daunting task in Paris this evening and comedian and impersonator Conor Moore mocked up a motivational video ahead of today's game.

Moore acts out a few famous faces including Roy Keane, Conor McGregor and Katie Taylor while also doing an inside-the-dressing room reaction in the pre-match clip commissioned by Irish bookmaker Paddy Power.

“We had some issues getting the whole posse to stand shoulder to shoulder in one room for this recording without fear of an illegal tackle taking place, so in truth, we had to turn to Conor Moore to make it happen.

“But we’d like to think this is how it might have turned out,” Rachael Kane, spokesperson for Paddy Power said.

Ireland legend Ronan O'Gara is the first up as his speech mixes up a few languages but retains his Corkonian accent while McGregor and Taylor are seen side by side for their message.

Ireland are rare favourites for the game, making it the first time in their history when taking on New Zealand.

“Our odds reflect our confidence in Andy Farrell’s men. We’re pretty sure we’ve got almost as much to lose as they do if things don’t go our way this evening,” Paddy Power spokesperson Rachael Kane said.

Ireland's clash against New Zealand takes place at the Stade de France in Paris at eight o'clock on Saturday evening with Andy Farrell's side handed a number of injury boosts.

Star wingers James Lowe and Mack Hansen are expected to start the game after shaking off injury issues from Scotland.

One man that will miss out if James Ryan after sustaining a hand injury but Farrell says that he could be fit if Ireland make it to the semi-finals.
