John 'Shark' Hanlon brought Ireland's wonder horse Hewick into a County Carlow pub during a homecoming party. PETA condemned the incident and said it was a dangerous publicity stunt for the horse. Hanlin has since defended himself. He said Hewie is a safe horse and he checked he didn't hurt himself off anything. Hewy won the American Grand National earlier this month. He has racked up £400,000 in winnings. The event was organised at 'The Pint Depot' in Carlows. It was to celebrate his success.
