THE PREDICTION
New Zealand got the Autumn Nations Series underway with a seven-try victory over Wales, beating their hosts handily 16-54. The All Blacks lost a dead rubber to South Africa in their last Rugby Championship fixture at the start of October but that is their only defeat in 13 tests. They retained the Rugby Championship once again, as well as white-washing Australia in the Bledisloe Cup and any squad they put out at the Stadio Olimpico is likely to enjoy a field day against hosts Italy. The Azzurri showed glimpses of improvement at this year’s Six Nations despite losing all five of their matches and their last victory not awarded by covid-19 cancellations came against Canada back at the 2019 Rugby World Cup. The All Blacks should be able to cover at least -50 here with 10 tries a distinct possibility.
