It’s time for Mizzou fans to rally around their starting QB, Brady Cook

Brady Cook committed to Missouri on September 29th, 2018. The former Chaminade Prep star had another 14 months before he was eligible to sign.

In September 2018, Cook committed to play for Mizzou. Barry Odom was 3-1 and Drew Lock was putting up good numbers. Oom is fired after the 2019 season. Eli Drinkwitz is hired a week before Cook is scheduled to sign. Cook's first season is interrupted by Covid. Fall camp was extended and the season was a 10-game SEC slate. He played behind Connor Bazelak and Shawn Robinson last season and threw only seven passes.

Brady Cook was a highly rated pro-style quarterback coming out of high school. He was committed to Missouri and didn't want to change schools. Cook started in the Armed Forces Bowl against Army. The coach spent the offseason courting other quarterbacks, but he landed Jack Abraham. It's not a good sign for college football that a player who is committed and wants to play for his home state school is allowed to leave.

Brady Cook is the kind of story I can believe in. Missouri fans should embrace him. He was named the starting quarterback for a reason. He's the only St. Louis product to start at quarterback in the last 20 years.
