ITV Tipping Point pulled from air and replaced for 72 hours

ITV Tipping Point will be pulled from air for the next three days as the show is replaced on ITV by Grand National coverage. The Ben Shephard quiz favourite is being axed by the show on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

ITV will air Grand National coverage instead. Ed Chamberlin presents coverage of day one from Aintree on Thursday, including the 2.55 Aintree Bowl Steeple Chase and 3.30 William Hill Aintree Hurdle, plus races at 2.20, 4.05 and 4.40. With analysis from AP McCoy, Mick Fitzgerald and Ruby Walsh, reports by Alice Plunkett, Adele Mulrennan, Matt Chapman, Luke Harvey.

On Friday, Ed Chamberlin presents coverage of day two from Aintree, including the 4.05 Randox Supports Race Against Dementia Topham Chase, plus races at 2.20, 2.55, 3.30 4.05 and 4.40. Saturday marks the Grand National itself.

In its preview, ITV said: "The 5.15 Randox Grand National Steeple Chase. Coverage of the most prestigious race on the calendar, held at Aintree. Sam Waley-Cohen rode 50/1 shot Noble Yeats to victory last year. With analysis from AP McCoy, Mick Fitzgerald and Ruby Walsh, reports by Alice Plunkett, Adele Mulrennan, Matt Chapman, Luke Harvey, Chris Hughes and Rishi Persad, betting news from Brian Gleeson, Social Stable with Oli Bell, and commentary from Richard Hoiles."

Fans will be able to tune into the network’s sister gameshow, The Chase, which is set to air in its usual time slot of 5pm. It comes as Ben recently shared a behind-the-scenes clip from the show.

The clip appears to show the crew communicating in a secret code. He posted a video showing the producers and editors in the gallery all making the same hand gestures as he opened the show. Tipping Point airs each and every weekday from 4pm on ITV 1 and also on ITV X on demand.
