Ivan Toney: What does FA betting charge mean for Brentford striker?
Ivan Toney scored both goals in Brentford's 2-1 victory over Manchester City. He has scored 10 goals and recorded two assists in 14 league appearances this season. Tony was left out of Gareth Southgate's World Cup squad for Qatar. The FA charged him with more alleged breaches of betting rules on Tuesday. Brentton start their season against Tottenham Hotspur on December 26.
Toney was charged with 262 offences under the E8 rule. Toney has until January 4 to respond to the new charges. It is unclear what he is accused of betting on. He was originally charged on November 16 with 232 offences between February 2017 and January 2021. He spent time on loan at Scunthorpe United and Wigan Athletic. Peterborough United signed him in August 2018 and he later joined Brentford for around £5m.

Joey Barton was suspended for 18 months in 2017 for placing 1,260 bets on football matches, including at least five in which he played.
Frank's press conference is on Friday ahead of the match against Tottenham. Frank will be asked about the situation involving Ivan Toney. Tony has been charged with misconduct in relation to breaching their betting rules. He has until November 24 to respond. Brentford will not comment until the matter is completed.

Toney went on holiday to Dubai and returned to training on November 30. The forward flew to Spain on December 5 for a training camp. They lost 2-1 in a friendly to Bordeaux and then played Celta Vigo, Wolfsburg and Chelsea behind closed doors.
