Jae'Sean Tate says Rockets will surprise fans in 2022-23 season
Houston Rockets finished last in the Western Conference last season. Jae'Sean Tate signed with the Rockets in 2020 after going undrafted in 2018. Tate believes the team's aggressive playstyle will be the key to their success in 2022-23 season, when they are third-lowest odds to win the championship in 2023. The forward played 70 games for the Houston Rockets during his rookie season in which he averaged 11.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
Jae'Sean Tate signed a three-year, $20.6 million contract extension with Houston Rockets in July. He was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in the 2021-22 season. Tate is projected to average career highs of 15.5 points and 7.1 rebounds this season, according to Basketball-Reference. Garrison Mathews believes the team plays hard.
