Jeff Stelling pays heartfelt tribute as Sky Sports reporter 'nears end of his life'
John Gwynne is a former teacher turned sports commentator and reporter. He started with PDC darts tournaments on Sky Sports and later commentated on Eurosport for BDO darts. Gynne was inducted into the PCDC Hall of Fame in 2014. His first media job was covering speedway at Belle Vue in Manchester for Piccadilly Radio in 1980. In 1988 he started a phone line based service called Cricket Call. He and Lanning commentating on the first WDC World Championship at the Circus Tavern in 1994. From April 2014 he was providing expert analysis on William Hill’s online betting service and In_play Radio service.
