SUTTON UTD are rock-bottom of Sky Bet League Two but the Yellows have hit a nice bit of form and can move off the foot of the table by beating Tranmere at 11/10.

Matt Gray's players are unbeaten in 3 after Omar Sowunmi's last minute equaliser at Colchester last Saturday and they host a Tranmere side which has failed to register a single point in 8 road matches this season.

Sutton's good run actually started with a defeat when they looked nailed on for a point at big-spending Wrexham last month before the league's current second-top side nabbed a spectacular late winner.

Gray's players went on to beat Bradford 2-1 at today's Gander Green Lane venue before recording another homewin over non-league AFC Fylde in the FA Cup and last week's first road point of the season has set them up for a massive match against their fellow strugglers.

Victory would only be Sutton's 4th win of the season after losing 12 of their first 15 games but another 3 points could be huge as they look to retain their league status after winning promotion from the National League in 2021.

Nigel Adkins brings a wealth of experience to Tranmere's survivalfight and a home win is no gimme here but Sutton's recent form could be key and victory can set them up for next week's match at 4th bottom Grimsby which could see them exit the bottom three.

Third top MANSFIELDremain the only unbeaten side in League Two after last week's 2-1 win at Salford and Nigel Clough's players can record a 9th win in 17 games by beating Newport County at 4/11.

The Stags have scored 29 goals in their previous 16 fixtures and while their home goal difference at Field Mill is only 9-3 in 7 matches, they face a County side toiling in 5th bottom position and losers of 6 of their 8 games on the road.

BARROW can boast one of only 3 unbeaten home records in the bottom division and I'm backing them to stretch that sequence to 8 matches this season with a win over Crawley at 10/11.

This month's FA Cup win at League OneNorthampton was followed by an EFL Trophy success over Liverpool Under 21s and last week's return to League Two business resulted in a 2-1 win at Bradford.

Bluebirds boss Pete Wild thought his players might have rode their luck a little at Valley Parade last Saturday but the win took their unbeaten run in all competitions to 8 games and victory here can rubber-stamp their play-off prospects.

Steve Evans' STEVENAGE have won their last 4 games in all competitions and the newly-promoted Boro are faring best of last season's promoted sides in a lofty 5th position on 29 points.

Today's visitors to The Lamex are Lincoln under the new management of Michael Skubala and barring a dramatic new manager "bounce", free-scoring Stevenage can make it 5 straight wins and 5 league games unbeaten by winning at 3/4.

COVE RANGERS sit third in cinch League One behind title chasing Falkirk and Hamilton and Paul Hartley's side can make it SIX straight league wins with a home success over Stirling Albion at 3/5.

Saturday SINGLE

MIDDLESBROUGH landed last week's bet at 2/1 by beating Leicester and Dunfermline's recent 1 win in 5 record makes in-form INVERNESS today's 2/1 Single.

Weekend ACCA

Lower league action on an international weekend with 5 home wins paying out at 14/1.

  • Sutton Utd 11/10
  • Mansfield 4/11
  • Barrow 10/11
  • Stevenage 3/4
  • Cove 3/5

DUNFERMLINE V INVERNESS CT

Inverness landed the headline bet with a 3-1 win over Ayr at 5/4 last Saturday and Duncan Ferguson can keep his unbeaten run going with a statement win at Dunfermline tomorrow.

Victory over Ayr made it 5 games without defeat for the new man in charge at Caley Thistle and today's trip to face the Pars should hold no fears for a seemingly revitalised group of players.

James McPake's side are 5/4 to bounce back from their 2-1 home defeat to Dundee United last Friday with the draw at 9/4 but they've only won 1 of their last 5 and Caley's previous 1-1 draw at Tannadice is the clincher.

SCOTLAND V NORWAY Sunday 7.45pm

Lawrence Shankland's late equaliser in Georgia has stopped Scotland's mini losing run and I'm expecting Steve Clarke's men to finish a superb qualifying campaign with a win over Norway.

The Scots look like going off at 6/5 tomorrow night and punters can get some Christmas spending money in the bank with the Hampden crowd set to play its part in what could be more than just a lap of honour.

Of course Scotland still have key players missing but Norway have been well exposed in this Group and this might be a night when a 2-goal margin could be a nice top-up at 11/2.

HOLLAND V REPUBLIC OF IRELAND 7.45pm

Ireland's current woes have been well documented and it looks highly unlikely that the Dutch will allow the Ireland's players and fans any hope of an imminent turnaround in fortunes.

Former Dunfermline boss Stephen Kenny says it's business as usual tonight but the manager's spell in charge will almost certainly be ended on Monday morning and a goal might be the best the visitors can hope for.

Holland to win to nil is 4/6 but a 4-0 morale-booster against Gibraltar could inspire a goal in Amsterdam and Holland to win with both teams to score is a tasty 5/2.

ARMENIA V WALES   2pm

Back-to-back wins over Latvia and Croatia have raised Welsh hopes and Rob Page's target of winning every remaining game after losing to Turkey is on schedule.

Friendly results mean the Welsh come into this on a 4-games unbeaten run and they look to have a great chance of avenging that 4-2 home defeat to Armenia earlier in the campaign.

The hosts are 16/5 to crush Welsh hopes with the draw at 5/2 but the general 10/11 about the visitors looks a nice price for a live game on a quiet Saturday afternoon.
