Jose Ramirez vs. Richard Commey: Live Stream, Betting Odds & Fight Card

This Saturday, ESPN & Top Rank return to the Save Mart Arena in Fresno, CA, for a super lightweight special attraction. Jose Ramirez (27-1), whose last fight was a year ago at the Save Mart Arena, will face veteran Richard Commey (30-4-1). After a disagreement with the purse splits prior to a purse bid with current champion Regis Prograis, Ramirez will face Commey to knock some rust off and hopefully challenge for a title later this year.

Ramirez hasn’t been as active as most would want to see him, as he has only fought once a year for the last three years. He last fought in March against Jose ‘Sniper’ Pedraza, earning a unanimous decision victory. Against Commey, Ramirez will look to have an impressive outing to set himself up for a big fight down the road.

Commey’s last fight was also against Jose Pedraza, but he fought to a split draw. Commey is now 36 years old and closer to hanging them up than being in his prime. He can still crack, but his chin is questionable, and with a guy like Ramirez, that can spell trouble.
