K-State Closes Exhibition Schedule Against Newman

K-State was selected to finish sixth in the 2022-23 Big 12 Preseason Coaches Poll in October. The Wildcats have finished 18 of 24 seasons above their preseason prediction.

Mittie is set for his ninth season as a head coach at K-State. He owns a 145-110 record and six postseason appearances with the Wildcats. With one win, Mittie will reach the 600-win mark in his 31 seasons as head Coach.

Serena Sundell has been named to the 2022-23 Preseason All-Big 12 Team by the league's coaches.

Gabby Gregory has joined K-State after three seasons at Oklahoma. Gregory needs 215 points to reach 1,000 for her career.

K-State won the exhibition game against Fort Hays State. The team shot 38.7 percent from the field and made 12-of-31 from beyond the arc. Sarah Shematsi and Gisela Sanchez are international players from France and Spain. Newman will play one exhibition before beginning its 2022-23 season on November 11 at Wayne State, and is led by second-year co-head coach Drew Johnson. Nicole Ohlde-Johnson is in her second season at Newman. Senior center Britney Ho is a senior at the Jets. Mittie is the winningest active coach in NCAA Division I with just under 600 career wins.
