ANDREW’S FREE PICK

The line's too thick to mess with, but I’m going to stick with the Mariners in this one. So long as Castillo can put together a quality start, however. In an August 4 outing versus the Angels, Castillo gave up seven earned in 6.0 innings during a no-decision. In the other pair of his last three starts however, Castillo is 2-0 with just one earned in 12.0 frames. On Tuesday Seattle started hot but ran out of steam down the stretch. It was a nice effort eventually finishing off a pesky Royals squad, though. That makes 16 runs in two games for Seattle; if the pitching staff can rein things in I think the team will be fine for another W on Wednesday.
