Kansas State vs. Baylor Prediction: Wildcats and Bears Tangle for Position in Crowded Big 12

Kansas State and Baylor are in the Big 12 conference title race. The Wildcats lost to Texas last Saturday. Baylor extended their winning streak to three games with a 38-35 victory over Oklahoma. They are one of three teams with the same conference record. Both teams are bowl-eligible. The loser of this game is likely eliminated from the title game.

Kansas State lost to Texas. Adrian Martinez and Will Howard are the only players who played well against Texas, but Martinez made costly mistakes. Deuce Vaughn was a major factor in the passing game with 86 receiving yards and a touchdown on seven receptions. The Bears defense has struggled recently.  Baylor has recorded eight interceptions in last two games. It has also given up 9 rushing touchdowns in that time.

Baylor has one of the best freshmen running backs in the country in Richard Reese. Craig "Sqwirl" Williams has been dominating the carries for the Bears. The passing game has produced just two touchdown passes during the current winning streak. Blake Shapen played the role of game manager last week against Oklahoma, throwing for 132 yards. He's third in Big 12 in passer rating. Kansas State is tied for second in interceptions (11) and first in sacks (23).

Baylor has the home-field advantage and the offensive line is back to playing well. Kansas State has lost four straight games to Baylor. The Bears are trending upwards and they will get it done at home on Saturday night.
