KENNEDY NZECHUKWU VS DEVIN CLARK LOWDOWN

Kennedy Nzechukwu (11-3) did not start 2022 well giving away a split decision after getting a point deducted for repeated eye pokes on Nicolae Negumereanu. That was after getting knocked out by Da Un Jung (2021) but thankfully he has recovered. He TKO’d Karl Roberson and Ion Cutelaba in style to take his UFC tally to 5-3.

Devin Clark (14-7) boosted his UFC record to 8-7 by outpointing Jung back in January. It is clear where his ceiling is as he continues to struggle against top ranked fighters. He is 2-3 in his last five with dominant losses to Anthony Smith (2020), Ion Cutelaba (2021) and Azamat Murzakanov.

KENNEDY NZECHUKWU VS DEVIN CLARK PREDICTION

Nzechukwu will boast a familiar height and reach advantage with eight inches in reach and five in height over Clark. We can expect Clark to try and negate that reach by closing the distance by chaining takedowns together.

Nzechukwu is improving with each fight and knows he just needs to stuff the takedown attempts to control the fight. That said, Clark has very powerful leg kicks and decent hands which Nzechukwu has to respect.

Clark can get this done by mixing everything together and has the cardio to close the show, but as soon as he becomes predictable, Nzechukwu will begin to land that jab at will and target the chin from range with laser precision.

Clark holds the value if he remains a significant underdog, but we feel he will be able to create enough space to find a home for his jab and cause damage with his kicks.
