Kentucky Derby 2022 Odds: Post Positions Info and Vegas Lines for All Horses

The 2022 Kentucky Derby takes place at Churchill Downs at 6:57 p.m. ET on Saturday. There are 20 horses in the field, including Taiba, Epicenter, Mo Donegal, Messier and Zandon.

Steve Asmussen's favorite Epicenter is running in the Derby. He has trained two runners-up in major races, Nehro and Lookin At Lee. Epicentre has won races both as the pace-setter and making a late charge down the stretch. His highest Equibase speed figure is 97, but he's hit that number in each of his last four races.

Taiba is the son of Gun Runner and has only been raced twice. He won the Santa Anita Derby in his second start. Tim Yakteen is taking over the training of Bob Baffert's horses. Bafert was barred from Churchill Downs after Medina Spirit was disqualified for failing a post-race drug test in 2021.

Mo Donegal and Messier are the big favorites for the Kentucky Derby. Mo Donegan had three starts as a two-year-old and two starts at three. Messer has only two wins in his career. He finished second in one of his two races this year.
