Kentucky Derby Future Wager: ‘All others’ are 4-5, Forte is 10-1
The Kentucky Derby 2023 is 23 weeks away. The field of horses from the 2020 foal crop is the odds-on favorite. Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner Forte is second choice in pool 2 of the Kentucky derby Future Wager. Horses trained by Bob Baffert are not included because he is suspended from all races at Churchill Downs until late next spring.
The Nov. 24-27 KDFW pool was $162,112. The total handle for the pool included $129,213 in the win pool and $32,899 in exactas. This year’s early Derby betting menu also included the Kentucky Derby Sire Future Wager.
The total handle for the new Nov. 1-3 KDFW pool 1 was $114,910. Future-wager dates are Jan. 20-22, Feb. 10-12, March 10, 12 and March 30-April 1. The lone Kentucky Oaks Future Wager will coincide with pool 5 spanning March.
