Kings vs. Oilers Game 6 pick: NHL odds, predictions, best bets

The Edmonton Oilers have all the momentum in their series with the Los Angeles Kings.

After losing two of the first three games of the best-of-seven set, the Oilers found themselves down 3-0 in Game 4 and looked as if they could be headed for another disappointing playoff exit.

But that game turned in the second period and ended with the Oilers winning in overtime.

There’s plenty of debate over whether game-to-game momentum matters in an NHL playoff series, but it seemed to pay off for Edmonton in a 6-3 Game 5 rout.

But that performance was really the only dud from Los Angeles in this series.

Kings vs. Oilers pick

The Kings have been competitive, but Edmonton’s historically good power play is clipping at an obscene 57.1 percent in the playoffs and has been the difference between the Kings being in complete control of this series and being behind heading into a must-win Game 6.

But overlook these Kings at your own risk.

With Edmonton riding a nine-game winning streak before the postseason, Los Angeles was unfancied in this matchup before Game 1 and then took two of the first three contests and had a three-goal lead in Game 4.

Betting on the NHL?

People quickly forgot the Kings were one of the most consistent teams during the 82-game regular season and that seems to be happening again ahead of Game 6.

Los Angeles is a live underdog on Saturday night.
