Kiwi league great Thomas Leuluai bows out after almost 500 matches

Thomas Leuluai played his last match for New Zealand against Leeds on Sunday. He will join the Kiwis coaching staff for the Rugby League World Cup. Leulauai has played for Wigan, Warriors and New Zealander national team. His career spanned several generations. Frank Endacott is a great admirer of Leuauli. He would be the best defensive halfback in the world. The former Kiwi coach also praised Leaului's toughness. It was his first game for Warriors in May 2003. Ali Lauiti'iti was the last player to retire from the game in 2015.
