Knicks at 76ers Prediction

The New York Knicks pay a visit to the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday night.

The New York Knicks have been in fine form as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after outlasting the Magic in a 102-98 road win on Tuesday. Jalen Brunson led the team with 25 points and five assists on nine of 13 shooting, Julius Randle added 22 points with 14 rebounds and six assists while Immanuel Quickley chipped in with 18 points off the bench. As a team, the Knicks shot 45 percent from the field and 15 of 43 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and managed just 18 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 12 points early, but they flipped the script in the second half and exploded for 36 points in the fourth quarter to escape with the narrow win.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers have been in strong form as they’ve won nine of their last 12 games overall, but they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling short against the Celtics in a 106-99 road loss on Wednesday. Joel Embiid led the team with 28 points and seven rebounds on 11 of 21 shooting, James Harden added 26 points with 11 assists while DeAnthony Melton chipped in with 12 points, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the 76ers shot 44 percent from the field and 10 of 31 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Celtics in a tight contest, but they just could never get the lead as Embiid and Harden were really the only two players who did anything. Tyrese Maxey had a rough night as he scored just six points on three of 14 shooting off the bench while Tobias Harris scored just four points on two of 10 shooting.

Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 28-10 ATS in their last 38 road games, 7-1 ATS in their last eight games against a team above .600 and 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 games following a win. The 76ers are 17-6 ATS in their last 23 home games and 5-1 ATS in their last six home games against a team with a winning road record.

Head to head, the under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings overall and the under is 18-7 in the last 25 meetings in Philadelphia.

The Knicks are still missing Mitchell Robinson but they could have Josh Hart in the linuep, while the 76ers are keeping an eye on Joel Embiid who is listed as questionable again. The 76ers will be out for revenge after losing to the Knicks on Sunday, but they didn’t look good in their tough loss to the shorthanded Celtics and they could be missing Embiid for this one. The 76ers have been the more reliable and consistent team all season and they are 17-6 ATS in their last 23 home games, so I’ll back the 76ers to bounce back with a narrow win here.
