Kobe’s prediction comes true: “Pau will have his number next to mine”
Pau Gasol's number 16 jersey will be retired by Los Angeles Lakers on 7 March 2023. It will mark the first time that a Spanish basketball player is honoured by the NBA's most famous franchise. Kobe Bryant had his number retired in 2017. Gasor quit basketball last year after winning the Endesa League with Barcelona. His younger brother Marc will also be honoured with the number 33.
