This season they have a new team with Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis and LeBron James. The team has not made any significant moves and questions still abound.

The Lakers are underdogs to win the 2023 NBA Championship. They have 11% of all individual bets and more than 13% on championship futures. The Boston Celtics have the third most action in terms of bets.

Last season the Lakers finished with a disappointing 33-49 record. They covered the spread less than 43% of the time. The team missed the playoffs for the first time in two seasons. LeBron James played some of his best basketball last season. During the offseason the team hired Milwaukee Bucks assistant Darvin Ham as their new head coach and signed LeBron to a contract extension. Kevin Durant has agreed to remain with the Nets.
