On Sunday afternoon, a few of the biggest stars in the NBA will be on all of our television screens as the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Phoenix Suns on ABC at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Below is a Lakers vs. Suns preview along with picks for the game including prop bets for LeBron James, Kevin Durant and more:

Feb. 25 NBA odds & best bets: Lakers vs. Suns odds, picks and preview for Sunday.

If the regular season ended today, both of these teams would find themselves in the Play-In Tournament. Phoenix (33-24) sits in the hypothetical eighth seed, while Los Angeles (31-27) is one spot behind. In this game, the Suns are favored by a few points and the total is hovering around 238.5.

The Suns are searching for their first win post All-Star break. Phoenix lost back-to-back games against Dallas and Houston. Bradley Beal missed both of those contests with a hamstring injury that’s been nagging him since before the break. This isn’t anything new, as Beal played in just 30 of the Suns’ 57 games. Phoenix relies heavily on stars Kevin Durant (28.1 points per game) and Devin Booker (27.6).

Luckily for the Lakers, their star power is back in full force. LeBron James missed Los Angeles’ first game back from the All-Star break but returned on Feb. 23 against the Spurs. In that game, James scored 30 points, dished nine assists and grabbed seven rebounds. Anthony Davis has been key for Los Angeles this season, averaging a team-high 25 points, 12.2 rebounds and 2.4 blocks.

Whether or not Beal plays Sunday is yet to be determined. The same goes for starting center Jusuf Nurkic, who missed the last game with an ankle injury but has a good chance to suit up.

The Lakers, however, are at full strength and has yet to lose to Phoenix this season. We believe the Lakers complete the sweep on Sunday as underdogs.

Feb. 25 NBA picks today: Lakers vs. Suns same-game parlay (+244 or better)

  • Lakers +4 (-110 or better)
  • Over 238.5 points (-110 or better)

Neither of these two teams have fared well against the spread so far this season. The Lakers are 26-32 ATS, while the Suns are 24-32-1. Phoenix is 12-17 ATS at home this year, and Los Angeles has the same record ATS on the road. This leg of the parlay comes down to the fact that the Lakers are healthy, and they’ve also been playing better basketball leading up to and since the All-Star break. They’ve won seven of their last nine games.

Where the Lakers have lacked, though, is defense on the road. Even if Beal and Nurkic can’t go Sunday, expect plenty of points from both sides. Los Angeles gives up an average of 120.6 points in road games, which ranks 24th in the league.
