Roy Hodgson is the shock favourite to take over at Crystal Palace until the end of the season, following the shock sacking of Patrick Vieira.
Vieira was dismissed on Friday morning from the Selhurst Park hotseat after a miserable run of form that has seen them without a win in 2023 and even going three games without a shot on target before Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat to rivals Brighton.
It has left them three points above the bottom three and having played a game more than some of their opponents, sparking owner Steve Parish into making the drastic move, with no obvious alternatives available at this late stage of the season.
