Both teams look poised it advance in the Champions Cup this season. Leicester have already secured qualification, but Ospreys got within six points in their last meeting.

I am backing Ospreys to get within 11 this time around.

  • Leicester have won their last 3 matches in the Champions Cup.
  • Ospreys have won 2 of their last 3 matches in the Champions Cup.
  • Ospreys lost their last match to Leicester.

Head to Head

These sides have met on nine previous occasions with Leicester Tigers winning five and Ospreys two. There have also been two draws. When they met in December 2022 the Tigers won 23-17 away.

Leicester Form

Leicester have made a very good start to the Champions Cup with three wins in three. While their league form has not been somewhat inconsistent, in Europe they have been solid.

Last week the Tigers saw off Clermont 44-29 away to end a two-match losing streak. Prior to that victory Leicester had lost 40-5 to Sale and 45-26 to Newcastle in the Rugby Premiership.

Leicester Injuries & Team News

The Tigers may be able to rest players for this fixture given their three wins to date. Qualification to the next round is already confirmed.

Ospreys Form

Ospreys have won two of their three Champions Cup matches. Their only defeat came in their opening match against Leicester.

Victory over Montpellier followed before beating the same opponents last week 35-29 at home. In the URC Ospreys have also shown some impressive results of late.

Ospreys beat Scarlets 34-14 on Boxing Day and then defeated Cardiff 22-19 away. A monumental effort followed in a 24-19 home loss to Leinster.

Ospreys Injuries & Team News

Ospreys can probably afford to lose this match but they will want some points from it so I expect a full strength squad.
