Leinster vs Dragons Predictions

Leinster host a struggling Dragons side at the Aviva Stadium in what we expect to be one way traffic. Leinster are the best team in Europe and should have no problem dispatching their opponents. Both teams will be without some of their international stars who are still on Six Nations duty.

Leinster Form and News

Leinster are top of the United Rugby Championship by a considerable distance after winning all of their 13 matches.

The Irish side’s form of late has seen them win 24-19 at Ospreys and followed it up with a 49-14 win at Gloucester in the Champions Cup. They would then go onto beat Racing 92 at home by 36-10.

Leinster’s last match was a 38-14 home win against Cardiff. Yet another bonus point win was secured after a dominant first half display. They took their foot of the pedal a little in the last 15 but such was their lead that they could afford to as they put in another dominant display.

Leo Cullen will name his side closer to kick off but there will be a large contingent of their squad unavailable as they are still with the Irish national squad.

Dragons Form and News

Gwent Dragons find themselves in an unenviable second last place on the table after losing ten of their thirteen matches.

The Dragons were silenced 29-14 at home by the Bulls before beating Pau in the Challenge Cup. The Dragons would subsequently go on to lose 30-25 at home to the Lions.

A 42-28 home loss to Glasgow was their last result. The Warriors were simply too strong and blitzed opened a healthy lead at half time. The second half was a little better for the Dragons but never really challenged the status quo as an injury time try kept the score a little more respectable.

Official team news is not yet available but we expect the Dragons to be without Welsh quartet Bradley Roberts, Leon Brown, Aaron Wainwright and Rio Dyer who have not been released yet.
